"hop" and other fun substances

greetings. i'm a big fan of "the king of hollywood" and dead star theater.

tonight i had the pleasure of watching doug's portrayal of the scientific detective "Coke Ennyday" in The Mystery of the Leaping Fish (Fine Arts Komedy Production, for Triangle, 1916). of course, doug was a hoot. an added bonus was Bessie Love's performance as the "Little Fish Blower." shameless, shameless fun.

does anyone know the history of this film? it seems quite odd that it came from d.w. griffith's division at triangle.
